What is experiential design?
Experiential design uses the physical environment to communicate a story, identity, message, or idea.
Rather than treating graphics, architecture, signage, art, and material as separate elements, experiential design considers how they work together to shape the way people understand and experience a space.
That can include environmental graphic design, branded environments, interpretive displays, history walls, dimensional graphics, signage, custom artwork, architectural features, exhibit elements, and integrated digital content.

At Spolar Studio, materials are more than a finishing detail. They influence how a space looks, feels, functions, and communicates. From wood, metal, and acrylic to specialty finishes, integrated lighting, and dimensional elements, each material brings different possibilities to experiential design.
Our hands-on fabrication expertise allows us to explore how materials and methods work together to achieve the intended result. Through CNC machining, laser cutting, printing, painting, finishing, and custom assembly, we create solutions that balance visual impact with practical considerations like scale, durability, installation, and long-term maintenance.
