At Fireside Theatre, Spolar Studio demonstrates how experiential design can transform traditional hospitality spaces into immersive, memorable environments. OUR LATEST INSTALLATION
reimagining the bar + Lounge
The latest chapter in Spolar Studio's decade-long partnership with Fireside Theatre transforms the Bar + Lounge into an immersive hospitality environment inspired by the Earth's core.
Through a series of phased installations, our studio integrated a large-scale dimensional mural, custom metalwork, illuminated resin features, and suspended architectural lighting to create a dramatic, cave-inspired atmosphere.
Blending experiential design, custom fabrication, and architectural integration, the project demonstrates how thoughtfully developed environments can redefine existing spaces and enhance the guest experience.

Few projects demonstrate the range of Spolar Studio's materials and capabilities quite like Fireside Theatre.
Across its many environments, our studio has worked with an extensive range of materials, including wood, metal, acrylic, epoxy resin, rigid substrates, printed graphics, and integrated lighting. Each material brings different possibilities for texture, dimension, color, and form.
From organic sculptural elements and detailed architectural features to illuminated installations and custom finishes, the work demonstrates how materials can be manipulated, layered, and combined to create entirely different environments.
Our approach goes beyond material selection. We explore how materials behave, how they interact, and how fabrication techniques can push their possibilities while meeting the practical demands of a high-traffic hospitality environment.

Throughout Fireside Theatre, Spolar Studio has incorporated unexpected elements and hidden references that invite guests to explore their surroundings. From a mermaid in Ocean and Bigfoot in Surface to Falkor from The NeverEnding Story in Sky and a UFO in the Bar + Lounge, these playful discoveries add another layer of storytelling to each environment.
